You need some strong suction cups to remove the screen (the whole back chassis is one piece, the only access is via the screen) and more importantly a dust-free environment, otherwise when you put the screen back on (or rather the glass pane in front of the actual screen) you can easily trap dust between the glass and the monitor.
The difficult thing is the dust-free environment.
So, no, it isn't possible for the "non-geek" OP. ;)

The biggest question I have is whether the dual Thunderbolt will support 2 external monitors.

Remember when tiered pricing was announced, Steve said more songs would be available for $.69 than $1.29...I have yet to see a $.69 song.
Agreed. I heard Summer of 69 on the radio earlier today in the car, and the song has been stuck in my head all day. So I decided that would be a good song to test, as you would think a song from the 80's would be a song that would at highest price be $0.99. Low and behold, it is $1.29 on iTunes.
So apparently not only popular new songs, but "popular" old songs are even $1.29. I bought a couple of "Best Of" albums from Amazon today that were $5. You can't beat getting 12-15 of the top hits from artists for $5. Just 4 of those songs would cost you $5 on iTunes if they were $1.29, which most songs seem to be.

reducing the number of cables connected to his computer is what he would be doing. Just one TB could possibly handle all of the cables through a hub.
Ah, so ultimately there will still be 7+ cables, just not connected to the computer itself.

It's been a strong position of mine for over 1.5 years that Apple's market share was to rise significantly. Data in now demonstrates that the position I've have held is valid.
I expect to see a large spike in Apple's market share over the next few years and by the time we see the successor to Leopard, Apple will have 8% market share. I made that prediction earlier this year.
You can say you made the 8% prediction, but why don't you back it up with some proof? I can say that I predicted Apple would release software to dual boot an Intel Mac but without proof who would believe me?

yes it's obvious who stole.....
Next time, I'd suggest you check the accuracy of the "source" you are trying to use to prove your point. The F700 wasn't shown in it was announced just after the iPhone and wasn't available until later in 2007...

It's all rather moot till they get authentic to the standard, and use Fiber Optics!
Substituting old fashioned wire is so misleading.
A bit faster yes, but nothing like Fiber.
This is rather amusing. I found this Apple Document (http://images.apple.com/xserve/pdf/L322097A_FibrChnl_TB.pdf) about Fibre Channel. You will notice that Apple has copper cables available. It would be interesting to compare Fibre Channel with Thunderbolt. Apart from TB integrating video, TB looks a lot like an evolution of Fibre Channel.
As TB progresses the transfer rates should increase which can only be good.
Moot? Whatever.

To become a relevant team, we need to reach 250k units per day, almost double the current rate. We need 70 more iMacs/MacBooks or 5 8-core systems.
We have reached 200k PPD, nice power up...
Keep going, we need more bigadv users...

The iPhone 4 had the most negative marketing out of all the iPhones.
From the 'prototype' leak, to antenna issues. I think Apple is milking as much money as they can with the iPhone 4, while keeping the iPhone 5 top secret.
I'm predicting that the sales of the white one will be like the Verizon iPhone, nothing spectacular.

They're not suing them to make money, or protect their patents.
It's the trademark they are protecting. They'll probably lose in court, but win outside of it.
Apple sued on 7 utility and 3 design patents, plus the trademarks.

How has Apple NOT innovated on the Mac line up?
- Completely redesigned and absolutely beautiful architecture on the insides of the Mac Pro
- MagSafe
- 24" all in one machine
- Front Row/apple Remote/iSight in every "portable" Mac
- Two finger right clicking on trackpad
All of this in the year of a move to a new platform.
The REAL innovations though, will occur in the second generation of Intel products. THe most important thing was to make a swift but calm switchover to ensure nobody got nervous over the move. Now we are here, 2007 will be sick.
Again:
-Intel Chips are not innovation. Its change of suppliers.
-Magsafe is an actual innovation.
-24" monitors have been around for like 10 yrs.... slappig into an iMac isnt innovation its either ballsy managing or perfect timing
-A webcam.... and a software to list all ur media.... nice not new. ITS A WEBCAM PEOPLE. THATS ALL. IT DOESNT SAVE CHILDREN.
-I thought Sony had a laptop that did this already? Can't confirm.

But I think the biggest advantage is that it would be very very simple to adjust the interface to dial phonenumbers, type text messages, and so on. In other words: the iPhone would be within handreach, and it would not require dozens of buttons added to interface (eg via a dock connector like the FM radio) I believe this was planned for 2006
This is what I thought when I saw the report on the Apple patents for the different interfaces (number pad, 4-way "cross" control, iPod controls, etc.). What if those "alternative" controls were actually all "displayed" controls on a none-touch screen, and Apple is planning on making this device your iPod, your cell phone, and your gaming machine? Depending on what you select, the proper controls will appear.
We know Apple was looking to hire a game programmer for the iPod. We think Apple's working on a cell phone based on comments made at the last financials meeting. We saw the patents for the various control interfaces, coincidentally all being shown on the same form factor.
My concerns are cost(how in the world could Apple make such a device that's also affordable) and simplicity(most iPod reviewers seem to come to the conclusion that it's the iPod simplicity that's the key to its success). Adding all these features seems very un-Apple and could make the device rather confusing and cumbersome.

Hmmm, why would an update of Front Row be deemed top secret...
Could this suggest that the mythical iHome might be coming soon? I think you're right and there will be some type of recording available through FrontRow. SJ said, "We hear you loud and clear" on this topic.

Yes and it states "a touch screen display" "For multifunctional handheld devices".
"The method includes sensing an object spaced away and in close proximity to the electronic device. The method also includes performing an action in the electronic device when an object is sensed." Meaning when I'm close to touching the darn thing do/show this when this is happening on screen.
Did you read it?
http://www.macsimumnews.com/index.php/archive/part_1_apple_files_proximity_detector_in_handheld_device_patent_application/
EDIT: Still not "touchless" either....
"For example, when using a touch sensing device along with a proximity detection system, advanced gestures may be performed that combine proximity gestures along with touch gestures."
UW, sounds like reflecting the fingers to the screen ...
... THAT IS ONE CREEPY BOWSER   POOR OLD BABY POOP !!!

The real question is - will the back lit keyboard be reintroduced? I sure hope so. Couldn't care less about gaming but I want to see what I type in a meeting room (and don't get started with the whole "learn to type" BS)...
