Thanks for the chart...I always like to see stuff like this. But your 3Q and 4Q numbers for 2003 and 2004 looked a bit fishy, so I looked into it and made the corrections below for 2004. Don't know if there are any other errors.

802.11n isn't due for ratification until 2008. There is a "Draft N v 2.0" due out next year that is supposedly close to what 802.11n will be but there's no guarantee anything will work until the final spec is released in 2008.
As long as it works with the 802.11[whatever] that the iTV ships with, it'll work for me. :)

Seriously, why not an Imac with touch-screen right now? Will we need to wait for the next iMac update to see this technology implemented?

as others have mentioned, i'm a little surprised that only the 17inch model has a 7200rpm drive option. i'm going to check with apple directly to see if i can get a custom 15inch with a 7200 drive. my audio apps don't work well with the anything slower.
having said that, the ram, fw800 and dual layer burner are a nice addition
Agreed about the lack of 7200HD options, sucks for music on the go, esp. using ableton live. Though an external FW800 drive will help bridge the gap.

If you only have 4 cores and I have 8 that isn't very much of a difference even taking into account the mhz discrepency. It might be worth trying to see if my 920 would be ok at stock speed with bigadv units.
well at stock speed it takes my 920 about 43 min per frame. Not bad, but I think that barely gets a bonus. But it is definitely worth it though

Look... I don't want to be a hater or anything like that but I have a first generation Ipod Touch... I got it as a present for my birth day, a month latter my wife have an Iphone 4 for her birthday so she sold her 3gs that i used to compare with My phone, the nexus One, look guys I need to be honest here, I got FULL Flash in my phone since it came out in the app market , and so far NOT a single problem with it, I remember when Jobs says it is not possible for a mobile device to have flash blah, battery drain, blah, poor performance blah, blah, blah... Dude flash is Awesome on my Android phone! no lag, no battery fast drain fast, no problems!!! do you guys have any tiny little Idea how @$#%^ cool it is going to www.newgrounds.com on my phone!? do you know!? or just playing online games like the ones on www.arcadepod.com? plus most of the apps are free!!! including that pathetic flash converter browser Skyfire that by the way is being in Android app market for like forever already!!! also it is sad that you have to Root (aka jailbroke) to get 20% more "liberty" with your phone! I already "convert" 4 Iphone users to Android at my job (400 plus workers) the rest are just plain envious of what android is capable of!!! without ROOTING!!! ahhh and don't get me starting in what you can do with a Root Android phone... My next Phone will be the Android HTC G2 that once rooted you can "BOST" to the phone to its real power........... 1.4 ghz!!!!!!!!!!!! I will say the market seems to disagree.
It seems to be 4-4.3 in screens is the sweet spot. 4.5 seems to be 2 big but 4-4.3 people seem to like.
I know most people like that size of screen. However, I hate it. The 3GS is the perfect size imo. Slides in the pocket nice and easy, but, the screen isn't so tiny you can't press anything either.
So long as Apple doesn't mess with the size of the device, I'll be indifferent. I just don't want to carry something as big as some of the Android devices I've seen.

Ok, that works if you are thinking of getting a cellphone vs. not getting a cellphone.
But when you are thinking of getting what type of cellphone, no, it doesn't count. Cause by deciding you are getting a cellphone but trying to decide which type, you already committed to buying the plan,what type of cellphone does not affect the cost of the plan, you are going to pay it regardless. So the cost of the plan really doesn't count for the cost of the cellphone when you are comparing cellphones together.

The point is when we are comparing different cellphones to each other, the service doesn't matter cause if you are getting the cellphone, you are going to pay the service regardless and which cellphone you get isn't going to affect the service's price. Therefore it is irrelevant when talking cost of one cellphone vs. another to bring in the cost o the contract.
Carriers love consumers who think like you do. It's how they are able to lock people into contracts and get rid of crappy phones--make them believe that getting a POS andrrhoid for free is such a wonderful deal compared to paying $200 for an iPhone 4 (forget the fact that that they'll be stuck with a piece of junk for a long time, suffering with poor support and function, and stuck with something completely worthless at the end, all because advertisers dangle bright, shiny objects in front of their eyes and let them believe they're saving so much in the beginning).

So instead, the new sidebar pushes into the image, reducing it in size, and requiring you to expand the width ( :eek: ) of the window if you want to keep the image the same size. I don't really see the overall difference. I suppose it comes down to whether you prefer the images to get slightly smaller, or the tray to suddenly cover over other things.

Sounds plausible. I don't know what else Apple can add to its existing iPod line besides small improvements... a few of their recent "revolutions" (buttonless Shuffle, touch-screen nano) have actually been steps backward, imo.

Hmmm...I've never seen a power adapter on a plane, and I flew a few days ago (on a cheapo airline, but still...). Core 2 Duo isnt that much of an upgrade, its "only" 1.4X, which to some people would make a lot of difference but to me it doesnt. Whats that, like a second faster on most tasks? Not worth the wait. Also, whats the word on CPU buzz?

The GSMArena article is wrong there. It is true that the F700 was officially "introduced in Feb 2007", but it was already shown at the IFA fair in Berlin in autumn 2006.
